JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Monitoring and Evaluation officer you are expected to
support in monitoring and evaluating ongoing project work of children
living and working in the streetsYou will be responsible for overall
M&E and learning needs of the project and will come up with findings
based on real data to show performance of the projectsYou will also
help in strengthening M&E functions based on experiences from the
projectMonitoring and Evaluation officer will report directly to the
Project Coordinator
WORKING HOURS: FULL TIME
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1 Ensure that data is accurately, completely and timely documented for all service areas
2 Lead in application of new data collection tools and revision of existing ones
3 Support in conducting regular trainings on data capture tools
4 Ensure that the database is up to date
5 Develop project monitoring plan of the projects in line with project work plans and
consulting with project coordinator
6 Coordinate with project workers for collecting data against agreed indicators
7 Engage with project workers to collect and manage essential data of their respective project
activities
8 Ensure quality of data collected by staff
9 Design the framework for the physical and process monitoring of programme activities
10 Undertake regular visits to the fields to support implementation of monitoring and
evaluation, check the quality of data produced, and to identify where adaptations might be
needed

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
Degree in Project Management or other degree related to monitoring and evaluation.
Skills and Experience:
Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years’ experience in project monitoring and evaluationProficient with MS officeWork experience supporting technical or programmatic activities in orphans and vulnerable children specifically children living and working in the streetsExcellent written, oral and presentation skills in English and KiswahiliAbility to work effectively with multiple teams, partner agencies and community members
